Become a Volunteer
The Redcliffe Tigers is a volunteer run AFL Club in Redcliffe, Queensland. We are always looking for people to participate in our sport.
There is a role for anyone interested in supporting the Club, on game days, at events, with Sponsorship, Administration, Canteen, Match Day Officials,team Coaching and Management.
All volunteers at the Redcliffe Tigers have successfully applied and are current holders of Working With Children Blue Cards. To be a volunteer with the Tigers, you will be asked to present your current Working With Children Blue Card or successfully apply for one before duties commence.

What are the registration fees?
Registration Fees differ between age groups and competition levels. Please visit the TEAMS page if you are unsure which age group or competition level you will play in to view the information and fee structure for yourself or your child.
What is included in the registration fees?
Registration fees, depending on your age group, may include club polo, first aid fees, team/individual photo, umpire fees, training and game day equipment, player’s insurance, club membership and league fees.
Are there any additional costs?
Players are required to purchase playing shorts and socks. Youth teams (U12.5 and above) will need to have both home and away playing shorts and are also required to wear black dress shorts to game day. (NB Presentation is not included in registration fees except for Superstars to U11.5).
Is there any assistance for fees?

When are games held?
Junior games (Superstars to U11.5) are held on Saturday mornings, with an occasional game on Friday nights. Youth games are held on Sundays with an occasional game on Friday nights. Colts, Senior’s and Women’s games are played on Saturdays. Masters can vary from fortnightly games on Saturday or Sundays.
How far do we travel for game days?
SEQ is split into 4 regions – North, Central, South/West and South. Redcliffe Tigers AFC falls into the North Region. Within each region Juniors clubs have been placed into zones based on their geographical location. (NB These may vary from season to season based on the number of teams in each zone).
What age group will my child play in?
The age groups are set each year by the AFL Queensland South East Queensland Juniors. There has been a recent change to the age group breakdown (commencing 2020) for SEQ Juniors.

NB: Proof of age documents is required for new players to complete their registration.
We also have teams in Women’s (Open age group), Men’s (Open Men’s – Div 2 North), Colts (U18’s) and Masters (Over 35’s and Over 45’s).
How are Junior teams selected?
We are bound by AFL Queensland State Junior Football Rules and Regulations SEQ rules and regulations regarding team selections.
Our priority is to ensure that we have an even number of players per team, to ensure that everyone gets an equal opportunity to play.

Do I need to Volunteer?
The Redcliffe Tigers AFC is a non-profit organisation that relies on volunteers to run the operations of the club.
There are game day roles that need to be filled for games to go ahead such as, goal umpiring, ground marshalling, water carrier etc. We ask that all parents help to get the children on the field playing each week.
In addition to this, there are many other roles available. We would love to see as many people as involved as possible. To find out more about the roles within the club please contact the Secretary.
Do we have an AusKick program?
Yes. We have a limited program that runs for 8 weeks at the start of the season. AusKick is a fun way to introduce kids to AFL. It is available for all children aged between 5 and 12 years of age.
Each week across the 8 weeks kids get to run, jump, kick and have fun while learning new skills.
SuperStars is the next step after AusKick. The program is run over 8 weeks, and children get to experience learning new skills along with a mini game.
